For public information, Sharia Courts in the Philippine are special courts exercising special jurisdiction on the implementation of Sharia Law among Muslims or Non Muslims in special cases.
The only law in the Philippines that recognizes DIVORCE in at least seven (7) forms three (2) for a husband e.g. talaaq and liaan, four (4) for a wife e.g. ila, zihar, khul, tafwiydh and one (1) for either husband or wife e.g. faskh.
It is also the applicable law aamong muslims on personal, property and other concerns not exclusively to the regular courts e.g. MTCCs, MCTCs and RTCs or to the administrative bodies exercising qusi judicial functions.
